Ok, so this Weezer video may be the cutest video EVER. Kittens, puppies, monkies, baby bears - STOP! Too much! *Explodes from cuteness* the song's a bit dull but they've more than made up for it with the video. However, it is summer so we should be listening to summery music. Which I don't own. All my favourite music was made in the darkness of some Scandinavian country or in a basement whilst the songwriter planned their own death, or something.
Sorry to anyone who I may lost contact with over the last few weeks, I have been working like a mad crazy slightly lazy leaving everything to the last minute fool, getting my final work done for college. Almost over. Although I am slightly annoyed that if I'd just hung on and waited to do the course till this year then I would have completely missed my horrendous tutor who has made my life a misery, he just told us this week that he is leaving. Dammit. Oh well, everything happens for a reason some say if I'd joined this September I would not have made friends with my lovely friend M 'if I was straight I would have you in a second', just what every girl needs: a gay friend who wishes he was straight. Balances nicely with my straight best friend who wishes she was gay R, who regularly tries to have sex with me just to see and then there's me somewhere in the middle - I don't really mind what I am. Some weeks it's less clear than others. And this leads me onto S, if I had started this course this year I would never have met S. Thank God I did, there are some people we miss that we really need to meet, like sliding doors and ships that pass in the night. We have no idea when someone life-changing or amazing is passing us by. We are oblivious, we should all be in a constant state of mourning cos it probably happens everyday, the guy sat next to you on the crowded bus - he could be your guru! Talk to him! But back to S, I met her and I am v happy for that cos now I know. And K, if I hadn't have met K I would not have had a model for my final exhibtion piece on the naked body. She did a grand job, an absolute star - gorgeous and relaxed and willing to experiment. I enjoyed ruining her relationship with her vibrator for her by using it as a back scratcher/ear tickler when she was trying to pose. I'm sure she will never look at it in the same way again. Maybe with one eye closed.
My final exhibtion went really well, they had to put up special signs for my pieces to warn people they may be offended, M said that at the beginning of the opening night flocks of teenage boys charged into the exhibition, anteni out searching for the naked ladies. I'm sure he was exaggerating. Still, it's a nice image. I will always remember my friend L marching in as I was talking to my horrible tutor, yelling across a crowded exhibition space, 'Katy! I want to see your vagina NOW!' My tutor just smirked, I could hear him thinking, 'bloody lesbians'. I don't mean to but I am such a stereotype around him, always talking about feminism, female musicians, and only photographing women for my projects! I expect he thinks he has me sussed. Little does he know...
Hello to Phill Hux, in a field somewhere at Glastonbury! I hope you get to the John Peel tent and pay hommage to the great man's memory by rocking out to whatever it is the kids are into these days. I really have no idea.

Hello minions. Long time no suicidal rant. I am in the throws of very last minute printing and mounting for my final exhibion of my photography course. The big event is this Friday, I'm sure you'd all go if you gave three shits about it. I don't think I do - as protest at how much I have not enjoyed my course or learnt anything of any value about photography I have taken several pictures of my friends vagina - the pics were taken in the course of a morning with minimum consideration to lighting and style and with no consideration for meaning or message. Utter minge just seems to sum up my feelings at this time about this course. I hope I never have to go back to the place again after 30th June this year. There have been some positives about the experience though - I have made some lovely friends and strengthened my immune system no end by drinking peppermint tea regularly in the most unhygienic cafeteria known to man. I am sure I will think of some more positives soon but now I must get back to my beaver printing.
Oh I have to say thank you to Bella for the fab Tori Amos t shirt!!! Thanks babe - you're a gem! I'm so jealous you got to see both Tori Amos and Tom Mcrae on the same night. I hope you enjoyed it.
I also have to say well done to Anna who got a 2:1 for her degree today - you're a star! Can't believe it's only been 4 years since my degree ended - feels like another time and another land and another person. Maybe it was - I have no evidence of it now apart from the fantastic DMU alumni catalogue I received last week, what a joy that is to receive. Not at all a waste of the worlds resources....it's like a yearly reminder that the degree I earnt there has done nothing to help my life move forward in anyway. Thanks!
